About this deal

Anyway, strongly attracted by this stunner of a bottle and after trying Eau Sensuelle a few times in the store I finally could carry an Aura bottle home (even if a flanker) knowing I'd be at least able to wear it, and I'm so happy!

What an incredibly interesting concoction! The initial blast, at least to my nose, is an almost minty, sweet wintergreen aroma that has me raising a perplexed brow. Once it settles on the skin, the refreshing wintergreen dances with vanilla in the most oddly complex way. I’m not sure about the other notes, but I predominantly get a green, cold, icy refreshing vanilla. I’m not sure if I like it, yet my nose keeps being drawn to my wrist, whether I want to or not. I feel this could almost be unisex, if I really think about it. The trail is a moderate one, and I find this to be incredibly long lasting. I can easily smell this 12 hours later, and that’s without shoving my nose into my skin. If you watch the trailer for the perfume the ad creates a vision of a deep rainforest that this smell truly mirrors in its entirety. The scent is great. If you have smelled the original and found it a bit too strong, this might be for you. This has a lot of the Aura DNA, but it has a lighter freshnes, that opens up a bit sharp, without being citrusy. It seems better for the warmer weather, where the original is great for colder days and rain. I'm one of the people who never could really pull off the original Aura. No matter if I just sprayed it or rubbed it in how many suggest, on me the original Aura would always developed a particular quality somewhere in between medicinal and akin to some jelly based candy from my childhood (I never could quite put my finger on which though). In short, even though super unique and interesting, me and Aura to my chagrin just never worked out. It seems to be one of those perfumes which smells different to different people. For instance I get a lot of sweetness and fruits with something really aromatic that I can't put my finger on. It smells bright and fresh but it also smells airy if it's breezy and u catch a waft of it. Saying that though my sister smelt it on me and was like "omg that stinks what are you wearing its horrible" she gets the menthol and medicinal smell people have mentioned so out of curiosity I went around my family in the room one by one to see what they got from it lol .. Final Facet, a touch of musk and sandalwood. Soft, sensual and beguiling Sandalwood. As a sandalwood freak/addict, this is my favorite facet.

Personally I prefer Angel to Aura, but I really appreciate the pioneering concept of Aura. Angel and Aura are completely different fragrances, but they are still in the same vein of futuristic inedible gourmands of their eras (they were also released 25 years apart by Mugler). Although full of notes of over-ripened fruits, caramel, and honey, Angel gives an inedible feel in its baby-blue liquid, and the overdose of patchouli and peppery spices. As for Aura, it has green and ambroxan (wolfwood) notes that paint the picture of a lively tropical rainforest that makes the vanilla cake inedible. I love this just a bit more, than I love the original. But the thing is, the lasting power could be a bit better with this one. I don't know, if I have just been spoiled by the original Aura, that has a major lasting power on me. But this seems a bit weak for an EDP. If this had been a EDT, I would be okay with it.If you like Aura EDP, but find it a bit too much, too loud or too strange, Aura Sensuelle is a pretty safe bet and I would strongly recommend to try or get it now while it's still available for a good price. If you already have the original and you can pull it off, you don't really need this flanker. At least this is how I feel. I spied Aura, with its drop-dead gorgeous, emerald-colored bottle. (Normally, bottles don't matter to me, but this one drew my attention -- you don't see many dark green bottles with the appearance of faceted jewels in mainstream perfume shops.) Unique, stylish, and enchanting. I had no idea what the notes were (the display offered no clues, and no one was available to educate me... I didn't feel right pulling a sales associate away from a sale-in-progress just to answer my questions about a perfume I was merely planning to sample that day.) Could this Mugler be "the one" that I could fall for? Just like Aura, Eau Sensuelle too gives me a weird nostalgic 80s feeling and again I cannot really put my finger on it. Suffice to say it instantly makes me feel summery, up beat and comfortably nostalgic at the same time.

I got a sample of this today and I'm honestly not sure. it's a quality fragrance, of that there is no doubt, but I find it a little unsettling. It makes me feel uneasy, and that could be a good thing or a bad thing. It's certainly intriguing.

Terms and Conditions of return

Errrr... no. (Allow me to state that I mean *no* offense whatsoever if you love this and are able to wear it... what follows is a description of my experience and mine alone. Obviously, this juice is still on the market because it *does* sell, and there are a significant number of people out there who smell amazing while wearing it. Unfortunately for me... I'm not one of them. Oh, boy, am I *ever* not one of them.) This perfume is exuberant, fresh, strong, unapologetic, and, dare I say, a bit of a hodge-podge in the best possible taste.

Like an immersion in the heart of lush vegetation with pure and green freshness, this accord unveils a duo of green and floral notes: the original combination of Rhubarb Leaf with tangy and crunchy notes, with luminous Orange Blossom and deliciously feminine. Together, they diffuse an intense vibrant freshness Aura sensuelle I would recommend for those who like the original but find it too much. I will be really enjoying this flanker.

Returns

An hour or two later, the vanilla, wood and coumarin notes begin to shine, which I much prefer. Making it much more wearable, warmer and enjoyable. I like to spray on skin and clothes to see how it performs. The sharpness and pine lives a lot longer on clothes. The initial spray is a medicinal atringent burst with a slight freshness from the pear and bergamot that together smells like green apple. The “wolfwood,” described by Mugler as an “animalic” vegetal substitute for wood, is animalic, peaty and opaque. This is no woody base. Instead, the base is a prominent vanilla. It isn’t quite gourmand, but a little powdery. It reminds me of the vanilla in the first Alien Goddess release, but less boring.
